Rules and regulations
Following are rules for students, staff and faculty members:

General Rules:
- Student’s Identity card is compulsory for getting access to the library.
- Silence should be maintained in the library.
- No discussion is permitted inside the library.
- Registration should be done to become a library member before using the library resources.
- No personal belongings (books, bags etc.) are allowed inside the library; only pens, pencils and notebooks are allowed.
- Textbook printed materials, and issued books are prohibited inside the library.
- Using mobile phones and audio instruments with or without speakers or headphones is strictly prohibited on the library premises.
- Entry of personal details and signature in the register kept at the entrance counter is compulsory before entering the library.
- Show the books and other materials being taken from the library to the staff at the entrance counter.
- The librarian may recall any book from any member at any time, and the member shall return the same immediately
- Library borrower cards are not transferable. The borrower is responsible for the books borrowed on their card.
- Refreshments of any kind are not allowed inside the library.
Admission to Library:
Students are allowed to the library only on production of their authorized/valid Identity Cards.
Circulation System:
Books will be issued on presentation of the library card along with the IDcard. Students are instructed to check the books while borrowing and will be responsible for any damage or mutilation noticed at the time of return.
Care of library borrower cards:
Take special care to maintain the library borrower cards.
Do not fold or alter entries made on the cards, and Members are responsible for the entire set of library borrower cards issued to them.
Lost Card:
Loss of borrower card should be reported to the librarian. A duplicate card may be issued against a formal application and a fine of Rs50/- for student and Rs70/- for staff/faculty.
Validity of card:
Library borrower cards are valid for the entire course duration to access library facilities. At the end of the course, borrower cards shall be returned to the library.
No dues certificate:
Each student shall obtain a No dues certificate from the library after returning all the books issued, surrendering the borrower's cards, and paying out standing dues, if any.
Care of Library Book:
Students are required to handle the books/Journal very carefully, marking with a pencil; writing or highlighting, tearing the pages or mutilating the same in any other way will be viewed very seriously. In such case, the reader shall be held responsible unless these are brought to the notice of the library staff at the time of issue.
Book bank:
SC/ST students of the college can become a member of the book bank, giving an application along with a caste certificate by paying a membership fee of Rs.100/-. Members of the book bank will be issued two text books for each semester. The book shall be returned within two days after the theory examination; otherwise, a fine of Rs.1/- per day will be charged.
Reference section:
This section has Encyclopedia, dictionaries, Textbooks Reference books etc. which are only available for reference. User can make use of these resources.
Overdue Charges
- Materials borrowed should be returned on or before the due date stamped, if returned late overdue fine will be charged for the delayed period.
- The book can be reissues only ones, after this the same book can be issue after 15 days depending upon the availability.
- If the book is not returned to the library within the due date, a late fine of Rs. 1/- per day will be charged to the borrower.
Book Lost:
If the book is lost or damaged, then the borrower shall replace the book of the same edition or the latest edition or pay double cost current rate of the book after getting permission from the librarian.
Newspapers/magazines are not allowed to take out from the library. For this, special permission may be required from the director or professor in charge (library).
Library Timing:
Monday to Friday: 9AM to 5:30 PM. (Library remains open during lunch hours)
Saturday & Sunday library remains closed.
